Jón Bjarni Atlason

Jón Bjarni Atlason (born January 1971 in Reykjavík , Iceland ) is a Germanist and translator .

Jón Bjarni Atlason studied Scandinavian Studies, German and Icelandic Language in Reykjavík, Greifswald and Kiel. He was an Icelandic lecturer at the University of Vienna . He translated The attempt to explain the metamorphosis of plants by JW Goethe , Gotha 1790 for the first time into Icelandic (2002). This was published in the series «Writings of the Walther von Goethe Foundation» Berlin - Reykjavík.
