Jörg Eberhard Henry Hafkemeyer (* 1947 in Berlin ) is a German radio reporter, freelance television journalist and professor for film and television at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Life

Hafkemeyer has been working for radio, television and newspapers since the late 1970s. He worked as a correspondent for ARD in Mexico, Washington and Moscow, among others. At the end of the nineties Hafkemeyer took over the position of the first editor-in-chief of the program " Sabine Christiansen " for almost two years . From 2000 he built up the cultural journalism course at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), which he headed until 2005. In 2002 he became an honorary professor. At the same time he works as a filmmaker for ARD and Deutschlandradio Kultur . At the Federal Armed Forces Academy for Information and Communication , he trains diplomats and senior officers for press appearances in front of the camera.

He has been a member of the PEN Center Germany since 2014 .
