Jörg Hennig

Jörg Hennig (born April 2, 1941 in Stolp ) is a German specialist in German .

Hennig studied German, history and philosophy at the University of Cologne . He received his doctorate in 1972 and was then a research assistant, since 1977 professor for German linguistics and since 1984 professor for journalism at the University of Hamburg . From 1986 to 1988 he was also vice president of the university. He is married to the Germanist Beate Hennig .

Hennig mainly worked on the linguistics of the mass media, on questions of comprehensibility research and on the usability of technical documentation.
