Jörg Nikutta

Jörg Nikutta (born October 5, 1971 ) is a German manager . He has been Managing Director Germany & Austria at the rail vehicle manufacturer Alstom since September 1, 2017 and was simultaneously appointed spokesman for the management of ALSTOM Transport Deutschland GmbH .

Career

Jörg Nikutta initially studied business mathematics at the University of Bielefeld from 1992 to 1998 , then he did his doctorate in economics on the subject of allocation mechanisms at the University of Mannheim until 2003 .

Act

After receiving his doctorate, he worked as a consultant. He then moved to Deutsche Bahn AG in 2003 . At Deutsche Bahn, he managed various projects, including the modernization of the IC fleet. From 2007 to 2011 he was regional manager for production, technology and operations in eastern Germany. In 2012 Nikutta was appointed director of maintenance and repairs for the ICE fleet and was responsible for the availability of all DB long-distance trains until the end of 2016. He was responsible for ten maintenance workshops and a large number of deployment points with more than 4,500 employees. From January to August 2017 Nikutta was “Program Manager Operational Excellence” at DB.

On September 1, 2017, Jörg Nikutta took over the management of the German and Austrian divisions of the rail vehicle manufacturer Alstom and was also the spokesman for the management of ALSTOM Transport Deutschland GmbH .

Jörg Nikutta is the brother of Sigrid Evelyn Nikutta , member of the board of Deutsche Bahn AG for the freight transport department and chairman of the board of DB Cargo .
