Jörg Woltmann (born February 8, 1947 in Berlin ) is a German banker and entrepreneur.

Career

His mother was a manufacturer and dealer in the women's clothing industry in Berlin-Lichterfelde.

Woltmann was born in the Berlin district of Moabit . After graduating from high school, he completed an apprenticeship as a banker at the Hermann Lampe bank from 1965 to 1968. He then studied business administration at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences from 1969 to 1972 .

He started his own business as a partner in a management consultancy. In 1979, together with a partner, he founded the general civil servants' private bank , which is specially tailored to the needs of civil servants and public sector employees. In the bank he made a name for himself as a restructuring company, for example at a brewery in Thuringia. In February 2006, he took over the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) as sole shareholder and saved the company from bankruptcy.

Woltmann is married to Kerstin Woltmann, they live in Berlin-Dahlem. In 1984 the daughter Sandra-Sophie was born, who studied design and is now also working at KPM.

Woltmann is a member of the Berlin Lions Club . His passion is old and new cars that he collects.
