Jörn Pfennig (born June 24, 1944 in Breslau ) is a successful German poet and jazz musician ( clarinet and saxophone ) with over a million volumes of poetry sold .

Career

Jörn Pfennig grew up in Tübingen , studied theater studies in Munich and was active there in various artistic fields - not only in the theater scene, but also as a jazz musician and as a songwriter (LP Erwin der Stier 1969, LP Liederspenstig 1974).

In 1979 his first volume of poetry was published Grundlos tenderly , which became a sales success. Further book publications (poetry and prose) followed. His books were first published by Schneekluth Verlag, then by Goldmann and later by Heyne . When Heyne was taken over by Bertelsmann, Pfennig ended the collaboration.

Since 2009 his books have been republished by Edition Talberg.
