The Jewish community in Hluboká nad Vltavou (German Frauenberg ), a town in Jihočeský kraj (South Bohemian Region) in the Czech Republic , was established in the 17th century.
history
Jewish residents in Frauenberg can be traced back to the second half of the 17th century. A religious community emerged around the middle of the 18th century. Their statutes date from 1785. The Jewish families lived in a few houses in a ghetto-like neighborhood in a city quarter.
After the First World War , the Jewish community in Frauenberg was in the process of dissolution.
