The morgue at the Jewish cemetery in Chemnitz , a town in the southwest of the Free State of Saxony , was built in 1882. The Tahara House is listed as an individual monument on the list of cultural monuments in Chemnitz-Altendorf .

The State Office for the Preservation of Monuments of Saxony writes: "... high-quality mortuary converted into expressionistic forms ..."
