Jewish reading books
The Jewish reading books were edited by Adolf Leschnitzer (1899–1980) with the assistance of the Reich Representation of German Jews . They were published by Schocken Verlag in Berlin after the handover of power to the National Socialists . A total of 30 issues were published between 1934 and 1938. With the passing of the Nuremberg Race Laws , the Association of the Reich Representation of German Jews had to rename itself in 1935 to the Reich Representation of Jews in Germany . Leschnitzer himself contributed number 10 (Judaism in the Middle Ages), the scholars Philipp Aronstein (1862–1942), Jenny Radt and Eliezer L. Ehrmann (1903–1988) contributed several volumes to the series.
