The Jewish cemetery Prostějov is a cemetery in Prostějov (German Proßnitz in Moravia ) in Okres Prostějov in the Olomoucký kraj region in Eastern Czech Republic .
The Jewish cemetery is located on the southern outskirts, south of the city cemetery. There is no information about the number of tombstones . In the cemetery there is a memorial from 1950 for the victims of National Socialism .
history
The "new" cemetery was laid out in 1908. Some gravestones from the first half of the 19th century were brought here from another, the "old" cemetery, which was rebuilt from around 1800 and destroyed in 1943.
