Jewish cemetery (Assens)

The Assens Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery (Jødisk Kirkegård) in the Danish port town of Assens , which is on Funen in the Syddanmark region .

The names of 47 deceased can be found in the cemetery, which was occupied from 1827 to 1914. The Schochet Benjamin Samuel Nayberg, who died in 1827, was the first in the Jewish community of Assens to be buried in the cemetery. But there is no tombstone on his grave. Of the 47 graves in the cemetery, 22 have no gravestone.
