The Günterberg Jewish Cemetery is located in the Günterberg district of the city of Angermünde in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg . The Jewish cemetery is located north of the village directly on the eastern side of the B 198 . There are only a few tombstones left .

history

The cemetery was laid out around 1809, from the beginning of the 20th century it was no longer occupied because the cemetery in Angermünde had been expanded. The cemetery has only 15 graves and was destroyed in 1938. A memorial stone was erected in 1964 .

In January 2008, unknown perpetrators desecrated the Jewish cemetery: They knocked over gravestones and smeared a swastika on them. Several large plates were torn from their anchoring and two stones were completely shattered.
