history

The cemetery was used between 1779 and 1939 by Jews settled in Jebenhausen, and in some cases by Jews in Göppingen. Due to the almost complete emigration of Jews before the Nazi era , he survived this period undamaged. It consists of an old part, in which gravestones made of sandstone predominate, and a new part, in which the increased prosperity of the Jewish population was expressed in sometimes larger, massive gravestones made of marble and granite .
