Jürgen Brand (politician)
Jürgen Brand (born April 9, 1965 in Ingolstadt ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and was a member of the European Parliament from 1993 to 1994 .
Life
Brand holds a degree in business administration and worked for the Swiss bank UBS and LBBW . He lives in the St. Johannis district of Nuremberg .
From 1996 to 2002 he was an expert for the European Commission on issues relating to economic and monetary union .
politics
Brand was district chairman of the Junge Union Ingolstadt.
On November 16, 1993, he replaced Günther Müller , who had left the European Parliament . There he was a member of the EPP Group and the Committee on Legal Affairs and Citizens' Rights . After the European elections in 1994 , he left parliament.
Brand is the district chairman of the European Union Nuremberg and European policy advisor for the Hanns Seidel Foundation .
