Jürgen Janke

Jürgen Janke (born December 18, 1948 in Bremen ) is a Bremen civil servant and was a politician ( SPD ) as well as a member of the Bremen citizenship .

Family, education and work

Janke was married and has a daughter.

He completed an apprenticeship at the tax office in Bremen and worked there until 1978 - most recently as a tax officer . After his time as a member of parliament, he was commercial director of the Überseemuseum Bremen and then worked for the Senator for Interior, Culture and Sport in the culture department as a senior official. He retired in 2009.

Janke is a member of the SPD and was active on the board of his local SPD association in Obervieland .

From 1979 to 1995 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for around 15 years with interruptions. In the meantime he was also a member of the Obervieland Advisory Board and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenry, including the sports deputation. One of his political priorities was data protection , from 1983 to 1987 he was chairman of a committee of the citizenship that had been set up specifically for this topic.

Further memberships

  • From 2002 to 2009 Janke was appointed to the Bremen Senate as a board member of the Residential City Foundation and was entrusted with the administrative tasks of the foundation.
  • He was chairman of the VfB Komet sports club in Obervieland.
