Jürgen Kasten

Jürgen Kasten (* 1954 in Berlin ) is a German film scholar .

Career

Kasten studied theater studies , German literature and psychology at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Free University of Berlin . In his dissertation he examined the influence of theater on expressionist film. He was a lecturer at the Institute for Theater Studies at the Free University of Berlin.

As a freelance journalist, he wrote for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and the Filmbulletin . He was the managing director of the Association of German Scriptwriters eV Berlin .
