Jürgen Krumnow

Jürgen Krumnow (born May 18, 1944 in Grünberg , Silesia ) is a German banker and manager.

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg, Krumnow completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Deutsche Bank in Bremen. From 1966 onwards, Krumnow studied business administration at the University of Hamburg . In 1974, he was there on a topic in the banking business accounting doctorate .

Krumnow worked as an employee at Deutsche Bank, initially in accounting and from 1974 in the board secretariat. In 1978 he came to the Tübingen / Reutlingen branch in southern Württemberg as director. In 1982 he was appointed head of the central accounting and planning department in Frankfurt am Main and in 1986 he was finally appointed general manager.

From 1988 to 1999, Krumnow was initially the youngest member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Bank. Krumnow was in charge of accounting, taxes and controlling. In 1991 he also took on regional responsibility for Deutsche Bank branches in Northern Germany, Scandinavia and Africa. Hilmar Kopper and Ulrich Cartellieri declared in 1999 that they would not renew Krumnov's contract, which ran until 2000.

Activities as a supervisory board

In November 2004, Krumnow took over the chairmanship of the TUI Group's supervisory board and held this position until 2009.

Krumnow has been a member of the Deutsche Bahn supervisory board for employers since 2005.
