Jürgen Lorenz (born April 13, 1929 in Hagen ) is a former German newspaper and television journalist .

Lorenz, who came from Westphalia, began studying law after graduating from high school, but broke it off again after a short time and instead began an internship at a newspaper in 1948. In the following year, Lorenz worked for the first time as a political correspondent and from then on was employed in this position for several daily newspapers such as the Badische Neusten Nachrichten, the Schwäbische Zeitung and the Kieler Nachrichten.
