Jürgen Thulke (born November 14, 1938 in Essen ) is a German SPD politician .

Jürgen Thulke attended elementary school and secondary school and received his secondary school leaving certificate in 1955. He obtained his Abitur in 1960 in a second education. From 1957 to 1960 he graduated from the post-engineering school in Berlin and completed it in 1960 as a graduate engineer with a degree in communications engineering. After completing the preparatory service for the high-level telecommunications service at the Deutsche Bundespost , he was a civil servant at the telecommunications office, most recently as a technical telecommunications officer. He has been out of service since 1998.

Jürgen Thulke has been a member of the SPD since 1965. From 1971 to 1972 he was chairman of the Young Socialists in Essen. In 1972 he became chairman of the local SPD association in Essen-Frintrop. From 1974 to 1976 he was a member of the SPD district committee in Lower Rhine and from 1972 to 1982 a member of the committee of the SPD sub-district of Essen. From 1969 to 1985 he was a member of the staff council at the telecommunications office in Essen and from 1981 to 1985 he was chairman of the staff council.

Jürgen Thulke was a directly elected member of the 10th , 11th , 12th and 13th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 076 Essen II from May 30, 1985 to June 2, 2005 .
