Jürgen Wieshoff (* 1961 in Rheydt ) is a German journalist, author and inventor .

Life

After training as a technical draftsman, Wieshoff completed a degree at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, specializing in mechanical engineering and industrial design. In 1983 he acquired the private pilot's license for free balloon pilots and in 1985, as the youngest instructor in Germany at the time, his flight instructor license. In 1992 he published his first book “Happy balloon driving dictionary” in Tomus Verlag / Munich. In the series of happy dictionaries, his second volume was published in 2001, "Happy Dictionary Macintosh". From 1993 to 1996 he headed the US branch of a German IT security company and used his experience in the USA to publish the "Bargain Guide Florida" and "Bargain Guide California" (Verlag Fink, Kümmerly and Frey, publisher Heinz Waldmüller). These bargain guides were supposedly the first on the German book market to combine the listing of shopping opportunities with the functions of a travel guide. In addition to his work as an author, he works as a freelance journalist in the field of tourism, IT and classic vehicles and as publisher and editor-in-chief of the free digital yacht magazine "Yacht-Log". Wieshoff is the inventor of various safety devices for data processing devices.
