Art Prize of the City of Leipzig
From 1959 to 1989, the City of Leipzig awarded the City of Leipzig Art Prize , which was awarded for outstanding achievements in the artistic field to people who promoted the city's reputation nationwide: architects, visual artists, composers, musicians, singers, actors and writers as well as literature - and art critic.
