Leipzig Horn Quartet

The Leipzig Horn Quartet is one of the oldest currently existing brass - ensembles in the world. It was founded in Leipzig in 1951 and consists of members of the MDR symphony orchestra .

Max Hilpert, Tino Bölk, Johannes Winkler and Michael Gühne have been playing in this lineup since 1996. They organize their concerts all over Germany and beyond, schedule their ensemble rehearsals into their MDR roster and keep recording CDs .
