Java API for XML-based RPC
Java API for XML-based RPC ( JAX-RPC ) is a Java - library to remote procedure calls to XML to run basis. The functionality of the API is developed by a company consortium (around Sun ) and independent persons in the so-called Java Community Process and finally made available to the public as a specification and reference implementation.
With version 2.0 the API became part of the Java API for XML Web Services (JAX-WS).
The SOAP protocol is often used as the basis for XML communication for the purpose of communication .
