The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association ( JEITA , Japanese 一般 社 団 法人 電子 情報 技術 産業 協会 , Ippan zaidan hōjin Denshi Jōhō Gijutsu Sangyō Kyōkai ) is a Japanese organization for the standardization of electronic components and devices based in Chiyoda , Tokyo . It was created on November 1, 2000 from the merger of the Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (JEIDA) with the Electronic Industries Association of Japan (EIAJ).

The JEITA is an association of 527 manufacturers of electronic components and devices (as of September 2006).
