JICST-E
JICST-E and JICST-EPlus are public, chargeable bibliographic databases in English, produced by the Department of Intellectual Property Integration of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in Tokyo and made accessible via database hosts . Before JST was founded and from 1976 onwards, the database was produced and sold by the Japan Information Center for Science and Technology (JICST) in Tokyo, along with many other databases. Since 1985, the JICST-E database has also been made accessible to users outside of Japan via the JICST Online Information System (JOIS).
In these literature databases the literature published in Japan , especially gray literature , from many areas of science, technology and medicine, including architecture, nutritional sciences, environmental technology and space technology, is bibliographically recorded in English. The bibliographic records, which contain author, title and much more as well as summaries of the texts, are specially translated for this database from Japanese into English, with around 12,000 new entries being added every week. Be evaluated preprints , technical reports, books and monographs, conference proceedings, journal articles , dissertations and newsletter . The oldest entries in the database date from 1985. The entries also come from other Japanese databases, e.g. B. JICST File on Science and Technology (File 010) and the JICST File on Medical Science in Japan (File 050).
