SAGE Publications is an independent science publisher based in the United States . He publishes a number of scientific journals , u. a. the Multiple Sclerosis Journal , Administrative Science Quarterly, and the American Sociological Review .

Another important department is CQ Press in Washington, DC, which specifically publishes books, directories, magazines, and electronic products about the American government and its policies, particularly international affairs. In addition, the CQ Press College Publishing Group publishes political science textbooks on public administration, international studies, journalism, and mass communication. The focus is on the US government and world affairs. The personnel directories of the CQ Press Professional Division are a special work . These registers, which are kept up to date, contain biographical and contact details of all persons who work in federal, congress and judicial offices, as well as relevant and comprehensive contact information about the federal government.

SAGE was founded in New York in 1965 by Sara Miller McCune. Today, SAGE has more than 1,000 employees in offices in Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, Singapore and Washington DC. The publishing portfolio includes over 650 journals and over 800 books published. SAGE Publications moved from the fields of social and humanities (Social Sciences & Humanities), materials science (Materials Science & Engineering), Life Sciences and Biomedicine (Life & Biomedical Sciences) and Health Sciences (Health Sciences).

In 2012, SAGE was named Academic and Professional Publisher of the Year by the Independent Publishers Guild.
