Jabberwocky , also JBBRWCK , is a three- piece French electro-pop band from Poitiers .

Band history

The three medical students Camille Camara, Emmanuel Bretou and Simon Pasquer from Poitiers met at the end of the 2000s. Camara and Bretou were drummers and guitarists, respectively, in a rock band while they were in school, while Pasquer was a member of a hip-hop group. They got together and wrote the song Photomaton together in mid-2012 . Élodie Wildstars from Bordeaux was won as the singer. They chose their band name after the character of Jabberwocky from a poem by Lewis Carroll . They made their song known via the Internet and found producers on the Parisian label Pain Surprise , who released the song in spring 2013.

Photomaton made it to number 32 in the French single charts right away, but was only in the lower place for a few weeks. That didn't change until it was used in a flashy automotive commercial in November. In France it jumped to number 2 and in Germany it was also able to place in the charts.
