Jack Anglin

Jack Anglin (born May 13, 1916 - March 7, 1963 ) was an American country singer, who was best known as Johnnie and Jack with his friend Johnnie Wright .

Life

Jack Anglin grew up in Columbia, Tennessee . He learned to play the guitar from his father . During a radio appearance he met Johnnie Wright , the future husband of Kitty Wells . Together with him he founded the duo Johnnie and Jack , with whom he released numerous hit singles. The duo also appeared in the Grand Ole Opry as well as in the Louisiana Hayride .

Jack Anglin died in a car accident on March 7, 1963, at the age of only 47. Anglin was on her way to the funerals of Patsy Cline , Cowboy Copas, and Hawkshaw Hawkins .
