Jackie Goldberg

Jackie Goldberg (born November 18, 1944 ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party .

Jackie Goldberg studied education at the University of California at Berkeley and worked as a teacher . From 1994 to 2000 she was a member of the Los Angeles City Council. Goldberg was a member of the California State Assembly from December 4, 2000 to December 4, 2006, replacing Antonio Villaraigosa . She was re-elected twice but was unable to run for a fourth time due to a term limit; it was followed by another Democrat in Kevin de León . Goldberg has been married to Sharon Stricker since 2008 and lives with her in Los Angeles .
