Jacob Diamond

The Jacob Diamond (English: Jacob Diamond ) is a colorless diamond that was discovered in India in 1884 .

The diamond was cut in 58 facets and is 39.5 mm long, 29.25 mm wide and 22.5 mm deep. It weighs 184.5 carats (36.90 grams). The Jacob diamond is considered to be one of the world's largest diamonds. Its owner was the Nizam of the Indian princely state of Hyderabad . In 1995 the diamond was acquired by the Indian government. It is currently held in the Reserve Bank of India in Mumbai .
