Jacques-Pierre Amette
Jacques-Pierre Amette (born May 18, 1943 in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives , Calvados department ) is a French writer.
In 2003 he received the Prix Goncourt for his novel La Maîtresse de Brecht . Amette is known in France as a connoisseur of German literature, especially of Friedrich Hölderlin . He describes himself as bilingual (German / French). He lived for a long time in Pforzheim, Hamburg and Berlin. So far, only one work by Amette has been translated into German - Zwei Leopard (Les Deux Léopards).
