Jacques J. Polak

Jacques Jacobus Polak (born April 25, 1914 in the Netherlands ; † February 26, 2010 ibid) was a Dutch economist .

Polak was 1958-1979 Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), English: International Monetary Fund, IMF.

Jacques J. Polak was the namesake of the " Polak Model " (IMF Monetary Model), which since the 1950s, later in a slightly modified form, the World Bank and the IMF as a basis for deciding on loans to indebted countries to finance their balance of payments deficits and for the selection of suitable structural adjustment programs serves.
