Jacques Voigtländer

Jacques Voigtländer (born April 4, 1948 in Uelzen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1994 to 2008 he was a member of the state parliament in Lower Saxony .

After finishing secondary school, Voigtländer completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. He then studied at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics and the Technical University of Braunschweig and worked as a teacher at the Uelzen Vocational School until 1994. From 1987 to 1998 he was chairman of the local SPD association in Uelzen, and since 1991 also councilor of the city.

From 1994 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament , and since 1998 a member of the district council in the Uelzen district . Voigtländer is chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group. At the end of the 1990s he campaigned for the construction of the Hundertwasser train station .
