Hunting liability insurance

Anyone who wants to obtain a hunting license in Germany or Austria or applies for an extension to the responsible hunting authority must provide proof of having taken out hunting liability insurance . The insurance commitment must correspond to at least the duration of the period applied for (up to three years) for the hunting license. Former hunters must also provide proof of taking out hunting liability insurance in order to be able to keep their hunting weapons .

The following insurance sums are required by law in Germany:
