The hunting and fishing is a year in Augsburg held public exhibition .
Exhibition themes
The focus of the fair is on the topics of hunting and fishing , among other things, hunting and fishing clothing, hunting and costume jewelery, hunting and fishing trips, hunting weapons, bows, all-terrain vehicles, birds of prey, fashion and clothing as well as hunting dogs are on display. For some time now, the “Augsbow” trade fair has been connected, which brings together many exhibitors from all branches of archery and organizes an indoor tournament in four archery disciplines.
The supporting program of the fair includes specialist lectures on three stages for anglers, hunters and shooters as well as bird of prey presentations and flight shows in the outdoor area, post shows and hunting dog presentations, fashion shows for hunters and fishermen and demonstrations in the game and fish kitchen.
The event is culturally framed by traditional firecrackers, as well as demonstrations of hunting horn players, traditional dances and archery.
Organizers and visitor numbers
The fair was organized by the Reich Agency from 1987 to 1992, and by Messe München from 1993 to 2009 , on whose premises the fair took place every two years. Jagen und Fischen has been organized annually since 2012 by Messe Augsburg at the end of January .
In 2017 the trade fair occupied four halls, conference center and outdoor area of Messe Augsburg. The organizer has shown a constant rise in visitor and exhibitor numbers since 2012, and in 2017 the fair hosted over 300 exhibitors and around 32,000 visitors.
In 2020 370 exhibitors and over 37,600 visitors came to the Augsburg exhibition center.
