Century house Bochum
The Jahrhunderthaus Bochum is the union building of IG Metall in Bochum . It was built from 2004 to 2005. As a landmark, the house of the century sets an urban landmark in Westpark Bochum . The structure consists of two massive building blocks of different heights, which are connected by a transparent glass hall. The design and materials used in the office building refer to the tradition of functional buildings in the mining industry in the Ruhr area, which is characterized by the use of brick, steel and glass. The design comes from Professor Krenz Architects - Krenz Mauerer + Assoziierte.
