Jaime Vargas Vargas
Jaime Froilan Vargas Vargas (born July 21, 1979 on the Río Kapawi ) is an Ecuadorian politician. He belongs to the Achuar ethnic group . On September 16, 2017, he was elected Chairman of the CONAIE . His term of office lasts until 2020.
Career
In 2004 he was a member of the Financial Board of Directors of the Intercultural Bilingual Directorate of the Ecuadorian Achuar Nationality.
From 2013 to 2015 he was chairman of the Nacionalidad Achuar de Ecuador (NAE). In 2013, he represented the plaintiff in filing territorial and collective rights claims at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in Washington, DC In 2015, he received a degree in public management from the University of Macas. From 2015 to 2017 he was chairman of the Morona Santiago Civic Participation and Social Control Council.
