Jakob Hugentobler
Jakob Hugentobler (born February 13, 1885 in Fimmelsberg-Bissegg ; † March 6, 1966 in Arenenberg ) was a Swiss conservator and author .
life and work
Hugentobler was the castle warden of Arenenberg from 1925 to 1957. He wrote numerous writings a. a. about the history of castles and their inhabitants in the area around the Arenenberg. The Thurgauer Jahrbuch published numerous of his articles. The brochure “The Bonaparte Family on Arenenberg”, written by Hugentobler, was popular reading for the numerous museum visitors to Arenenberg Castle. Hugentobler was awarded the Knight's Cross of the French Legion of Honor for his work . He found his final resting place in the Ermatingen cemetery .
