Immler Family Foundation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Immler Family Foundation was founded on December 24, 2004 by the brothers Karl Immler (* 1948) and Jakob Immler (* 1950). Both are German real estate investors from Isny im Allgäu . It is planned that the foundation, like the Fuggerei , large families with four or more children and at least two senior citizens (people aged 55 and over who do not have to be related to the family) will have one house each in a specially planned settlement with up to 50 houses rented for one euro a month. In return, the tenants agree to jointly do 20 hours of community service per month.

The background to this commitment is the public discussion about the lack of children and old-age poverty in Germany. When and where the big project will be realized is currently unclear (as of April 2009). In order to respond to the great demand from large families, the Immler-Großfamilienstiftung, together with the construction company Geiger Unternehmensgruppe from Oberstdorf and the Dünkel Investment GbR from Schemmerhofen, built and rented a total of five houses as part of the investor model. Three houses are in Durach near Kempten and have been inhabited since Christmas 2008. Two more in Schemmerhofen near Biberach were handed over to the tenants in July 2009.

The foundation's assets are 13 million euros (as of 2009).

In 2012, 4,500 square meters in Isny were sold to the foundation.

In November 2016, the Isnys local council decided to sell an area of around 2,500 square meters to the Immler Family Foundation. The foundation already owns 18,500 square meters of land on which 18 residential buildings are to be built.

On March 29, 2014, the German Association of Large Families awarded the Extended Family Foundation the Fair Family seal of approval .

criticism
