Jakob Martin Strid

Jakob Martin Strid (* 1972 ) is a Danish caricaturist, draftsman, author and musician. In Germany he is best known for his children's book The incredible story of the giant pear . In 2012 he was awarded the Danish Culture Prize of the Danish heir to the throne .

Jakob Martin Strid is in Denmark through his political and satirical caricatures and illustrations a. a. became known in the Danish newspaper Politiken . He also writes and illustrates children's books and children's songs. Only three of his books have been translated into German so far. In 2017 the film version of the giant pear was released in cinemas.
