Jamela Seedat

Jamela Seedat is a medical doctor and editor .

In 1993 she passed her medical state examination at the Humboldt University in Berlin and received her doctorate there in 1996 on 67 pages on the subject of " Vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism in different ethnic populations and in two diseases associated with reduced bone density ".

Seedat has been editor-in-chief of the journal Epidemiologisches Bulletin published by the Robert Koch Institute since January 2007 , replacing Wolfgang Kiehl . She also sits on the editorial board of the Eurosurveillance magazine of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control for Germany .
