James Aird (music publisher)
James Aird (* 1750 - † September 15, 1795 buried in Glasgow ) was a Scottish music publisher.
Act
From 1778 Aird published, among other things, the compilation "Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and foreign Airs" (four issues). In addition, his former managing director John M'Fadyen published two more booklets on this series posthumously.
The Yankee Doodle was first published in Aird's first issue.
