James Galbraith (life dates unknown) was a Scottish football player .

Career

James Galbraith played in his football career from 1889 to 1892 for Dumbarton FC . On September 28, 1889 he made his debut for Dumbarton in the 2nd round of the Scottish Cup in a 2-1 away win against FC Renton . From 1890 Dumbarton participated as one of eleven founding clubs in the Scottish Football League . Galbraith completed a total of 18 games in the first season of 1890/91 , scoring six goals. After Jack Bell (20 goals) and Jack Taylor (15), he was the third top scorer of the team that won the Scottish Championship at the end of the season . In 1892 the title from the previous year could be defended. Galbraith came to seven games and one goal this season.
