James Enoch "Jim" Hill (born October 30, 1929 in Chicago ) is a former American sports shooter .

successes

James Hill participated in the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome . In the three-position fight with the small-bore rifle, he did not get beyond the 24th place, while in the prone position he took second place with 589 points. So he received the silver medal behind Peter Kohnke and ahead of Enrico Forcella . Two years later he won the bronze medal at the world championships in Cairo with the small bore in the individual competition of the horizontal attack and was runner-up in the team competition. He finished the team competition in the three-position battle in third place.

Hill served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Gunnery Sergeant in 1960 .
