Toby Alex Kodat (born January 13, 2003 in Bradenton ) is an American tennis player .

Career

In 2019 Kodat played in all four junior Grand Slam tournaments and reached the singles final at the French Open , where he was defeated by the Danish Holger Vitus Nødskov Rune . In doubles, he usually plays alongside Martin Damm , with whom he reached the quarter-finals at the French Open and the semi-finals at Wimbledon . He can compete on the junior tour for two more years. His best placement so far is 7th in the junior world rankings.

At the USTA Boys 18s National Championships , the championships for under-18s, Kodat and Damm won a wildcard for the US Open in autumn by winning the tournament . There they were able to defeat the pairing of Mitchell Krueger and Tim Smyczek at the start . This made the pairing the youngest team with a main draw in US Open history. In the second round they lost to Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies . Thanks to the world ranking points , Kodat rose to number 435 in the world in doubles.
