James Moody (composer)

James Moody (born November 17, 1907 in Belfast , † 1995 ) was an Irish silent film accompanist and composer .

He wrote many pieces for harmonica , including 22 with piano accompaniment, three with string orchestra, eight with symphony orchestra, as well as many chamber music works for harmonica ensemble , harmonica with harp , harmonica with string quartet and other instrument combinations.

His harmonica works are all dedicated to Tommy Reilly , with whom he often played together.
