from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

James Grenville Temple-Gore-Langton, 9th Earl Temple of Stowe (born September 11, 1955 ) is a British nobleman .

He is the eldest son of Walter Temple-Gore-Langton, 8th Earl Temple of Stowe (1924-2013) and his wife Zillah Ray Boxall (1925-1966). When his father died on September 17, 2013, he inherited the title of Earl Temple of Stowe . Until then, since 1988 he had used the invented courtesy title of Lord Langton as his probable heir apparent .

He has been married to Julie Christine Mainwaring since 2008. He has two children with her, Rowan Caradoc Temple-Gore-Langton (* 1987) and Jenny Megan Temple-Gore-Langton (* 1990). Since he did not marry the mother of his children until 2008, his son in particular is considered illegitimate, so that instead of his James' brother Robert Temple-Gore-Langton (* 1957) is the next legitimate heir to the earl title.
