James Watt Building

The James Watt Building is an industrial building in the Scottish town of Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire . It is on Cloberfield Road in an industrial area to the north of the city. In 1976 the James Watt Building was added to the Scottish List of Monuments in Category B.

The building was part of an 18th century bleaching plant associated with inventor James Watt . The James Watt Building consists of an elongated structure with three floors. The facade surfaces are plastered and painted red. Are at the edges of buildings cornerstones built that are as free as the windows ligend window surrounds . Just like the doors, the lintels of the windows are flat and rounded. The roof is covered with slate shingles.
