James Wyllie Rodger

James Wyllie Rodger (born December 11, 1867 in Stewarton, Ayrshire , † 1896 ) was a Scottish chemist and member of the Royal College of Science (ARCS).

Life

He attended the Kilmarnock Academy and studied under John Dickie and the Royal College of Science in London, where he won various prizes from 1885 to 1888. In 1885 he received a royal scholarship and in 1886 the Murchison Prize in Geology. In 1889 he became an assistant at the research laboratory and published numerous papers over the next five to six years with Thomas Edward Thorpe (1845-1925).
