Jan Dereziński (* 1957 ) is a Polish mathematical physicist.

Derezinski received his PhD in 1985 from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute with George Hagedorn (Existence and Analyticity of Many Body Scattering Amplitudes at Low Energies). He is a professor at the University of Warsaw .

He deals with many areas of mathematical physics and is best known for his contributions to scattering theory . In 1993, independently of Avy Soffer and Israel Michael Sigal , he proved asymptotic completeness for long-range potentials.
